Marie
Papp offers a fine art and candid approach to weddings, portraiture,
and events using both color and black and white film. She
draws upon her background in fine arts to create beautiful,
natural and artistic photographs filled with emotion.
Marie began her photographic career twenty years ago while
earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography at New
York University's Tisch School of the Arts. During her studies
at NYU, her images of soap opera stars, behind the scenes
and on the sets of All My Children, Loving, and One Life to
Live, were published in several Soap Opera magazines. Her
desire to photograph people and love of theater led her to
work with theatrical photographer, Martha Swope. Marie continued
to work with performers independently by creating artistic,
environmental, black and white portraits of New York City
musicians and artists. Marie has also worked as an instructor
at the college level.
Marie has been photographing weddings in the New York tri-state
area at such local venues as the Puck Building, Central Park
Boathouse, The Glenmere, The Crystal Plaza, Maxims, The Palm
House, Carlye on the Green, The Chart House, Pleasantdale
Chateau, Tappan Hill and Wave Hill. She is also available
for a limited number of destination weddings and has photographed
weddings in locations such as Mexico, Jamaica, and Florida.
Marie's wedding
images have been featured in many wedding publications, both
nationally and regionally, such as, Grace Ormonde Wedding
Style, Grace Ormonde Marriage, New York Bride, New Jersey
Bride, Modern Bride, Wedding Bells, and The Knot Wedding
Pages.
