A City-Filled Elopement in Jersey City - Louis & Jazmin

Elopements have a special kind of magic—intimate, spontaneous, and filled with the energy of the city around them. Louis and Jazmin’s two-hour elopement in Jersey City was no exception. With the NYC skyline as their backdrop and a small group of loved ones by their side, they embraced the excitement of the city for a wedding day that was uniquely theirs.

A Ceremony Overlooking Manhattan

Louis and Jazmin chose J. Owen Grundy Park for their ceremony, a beautiful waterfront location with breathtaking views of downtown Manhattan. On a bright, sunny day, a shaded spot provided the perfect setting for their vows. Surrounded by about 12 guests, their wedding had an effortless and personal feel—proving that sometimes the simplest moments are the most meaningful.

Adding to the significance of the day, Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla officiated the ceremony, making their union even more special. With the skyline in the background and the Hudson River shimmering nearby, the moment was filled with love, joy, and the kind of authenticity that defines a truly memorable elopement.

Exploring Jersey City’s Landmarks

After the ceremony, we captured portraits with their family and friends, preserving the joy of the occasion before setting off for a more adventurous photo session. With just Louis, Jazmin, and me, we explored Jersey City’s streets, capturing the energy and vibrancy of the area.

One of the most fun moments of the day was when Louis and Jazmin rented a scooter and took a joyride together. The spontaneity and laughter made for some incredible, dynamic images—true to the spirit of an elopement in the city.

A First Dance to Live Jazz

As we continued our walk, we stumbled upon a jazz festival in full swing, complete with a large stage and live music. Taking full advantage of the moment, Louis and Jazmin shared their first dance near the stage as the jazz band played, making for a completely unscripted yet unforgettable memory. The music, the city, and the energy of the crowd created a scene that was both romantic and iconic.

To round out the day, we took more portraits at Exchange Place and along the Light Rail, blending Louis and Jazmin’s love story with the urban landscape around them.
