As a Hoboken & NYC Branding Photographer, one of my favorite parts of this work is collaborating with creatives who bring their own artistry, perspective, and vision into a session. Recently, I had the privilege of photographing Lenore of Lenore in Color—an artist whose work is rooted in both faith and creativity. Her branding session was a beautiful reminder that professional photography can do more than capture a polished image—it can tell the deeper story of who you are and why you create.
Lenore has always loved making art, but a few years ago she dove into surface pattern design as a way to do something with the art she was already creating. Over time, she found that her most authentic expression came through acrylic painting and collage. These mediums allow her to connect her faith journey with her creative practice, weaving together two of the most important parts of her life.
“I love the fact that these two important areas of my life, art and faith, are both journeys that inform each other. I hope to share my explorations with others who want to find a similar art/faith path in their own life.”
In addition to acrylics and collage, Lenore also works in watercolors, gouache, ink, and digital design—always experimenting with new techniques that give her audiences fresh ways to connect with her message.
For artists like Lenore, branding photography isn’t just about professional portraits. It’s about creating a visual narrative that shows the person behind the art as much as the work itself.
During Lenore’s branding session, I focused on capturing:
The goal was to create images that felt authentic to her—reflecting both her professionalism and her warmth, while giving her a cohesive collection of photos she can use across all her platforms.
As an artist, designer, or creative professional, your work speaks volumes, but your audience also wants to know the story behind it. Branding photography bridges that gap by helping you share who you are as much as what you create.
Here are a few reasons branding photography is especially powerful for artists:
Branding photography captures you in the act of creating—whether painting, sketching, collaging, or working digitally. These images show your audience your process and make your story more relatable.
From websites to Instagram to press features, polished imagery elevates your brand and helps you stand out. A session provides consistent, high-quality visuals for all your platforms.
Collectors, clients, and collaborators want to know the person behind the artwork. Branding photography puts a face to the name and helps people connect with your values, passion, and personality.
A single session gives you a library of images you can use everywhere—on your website, blog, newsletter, Etsy shop, portfolio, or social media. The result? A cohesive brand identity that feels intentional and professional.

Working with Lenore reminded me how meaningful branding photography can be for creatives. For artists, the right photos go beyond simple portraits—they become a visual brand identity, showing not only the finished product but also the soul, inspiration, and journey behind it.
Lenore’s branding session was a celebration of her faith, artistry, and authenticity. The images we created now live on her website and marketing materials, giving her a polished, cohesive presence that reflects exactly who she is.

Your image is your introduction to the world—and often the very first impression you make. For Lenore’s session, we focused on capturing the authenticity of her artistic journey: her confidence, her creativity, and the warmth that flows through both her faith and her art. These images now give her a polished, cohesive presence for her website and marketing—helping her share not only her work, but also the story and inspiration behind it.
The same is true for your brand. With intentional and authentic photography, you can present yourself in a way that builds trust, communicates your values, and connects deeply with your audience.
If you’re ready to elevate your professional presence and create branding photos that tell your unique story, I’d be honored to help bring that vision to life.
